With the recent snowfall, we would like to remind our residents of a couple things as we go into the winter season and all its wonderful weather!

  • After a snowfall, our grader operators will always make their best efforts to make it in and clear the roads of any snow, weather permitting. Poor visibility,  road closures and/or certain road conditions may result in a delay in snow clearing operations. Rest assured they will be going out as soon as safely possible. 
  • Whenever possible, refrain from parking on the street as it can hinder snow clearing operations.
  • MB 511 monitors highway road conditions. Download the app or go to their website here.
  • Highways and Provincial roads are not looked after by us. Should you have a concern about them, please contact MB Highways.  Contact information here.

  • During a storm, should you lose power, please call MB Hydro at 204-480-5900 or toll free at 1-888-624-9376. We cannot assist with power outage issues.
  • Should you lose power, be sure to check your ground sump pumps and septic pumps. Regulate the water levels in your sump pump pit, reduce water usage. Should levels get too high, you may need to bail out water.
  • Due to poor weather conditions and/or power outages, our staff may not be able to safely make it in, resulting in our office being closed and phones unable to be answered. We will make every effort to post updates to our Facebook, Website and Connect. However, this is not always possible.
