On occasion there are lost or wandering dogs picked up throughout our Municipality. When this happens, the dog is eventually given to a shelter to be cared for if the owner cannot be found. If you or someone you know would like to foster the dog, you can do so by contacting the shelter it will be given to and becoming a foster home through their organization.
We deal with the following shelters:

- Pembina Valley Humane Society
- Winnipeg Humane Society
- Manitoba Great Pyrenees Dog Rescue
