Boat Safety! Longer term news is good but with the water still high, some residents are using boats. We are looking at some significant wind gusts for the next few days with winds gusting today up to 60km/hr and Saturday up to 80km/hr
Please ensure you are only using boats that are sturdy and stable with sufficient motor power to ensure you are not carried into areas you don’t want to go. Wear your life jackets! Watch out for power lines, other obstacles and steer clear. Don’t go anywhere without ensuring someone knows you have left and confirm your arrival.
If you cannot access your property without a boat you should be registered with the RM of Morris Emergency Operations Centre at 204-746-3439.
