Recycling & Garbage Program

MWM Environmental

Recycling

  • Pickup will be bi-weekly on Thursdays for each residence with 2 zones
  • Recycling collection is free for those receiving it and those not on the route can contact us, special pickup arrangements can be made
  • Please have your cart out by 7:00am the morning of your scheduled pickup
  • Currently we still have 5 large recycling bins around the Municipality, more information below
  • If you would like to change your cart needs (ex. add more), please contact us

Garbage

  • Pickup will be every Tuesday for those on the route
  • Garbage collection will be charged onto property tax bills of those on the route, therefore if you do not receive pickup you will not be charged
  • Current pickup is for Sperling, Rosenort and our rural loop; if you are not on the route and would like to be, please contact us contact us for more information and we will determine if it is feasible to add you to our route
  • Please have your cart out by 7:00am the morning of your scheduled pickup
  • If you would like to change your cart needs (ex. add more), please contact us

    • Rosenort – Residential (Single Family) $136.00/unit
    • Rosenort – Residential (Multi-Family) $136.00/unit
    • Rosenort – Commercial/Other $136.00/unit
    • Sperling – Residential (Single Family) $136.00/unit
    • Sperling – Commercial/Other $136.00/unit
    • Rural Loop – Rosenort to Sperling $136.00/unit
    • High Volume Users – Bin Size 6 Cubic Yards $2,589.00/unit            4 Cubic Yards $1,908.00/unit

Light Bulbs and Paint Recycling

Morris Home Hardware now accepts light bulbs and paint for recycling. Please make use of this service they are offering and stop by during business hours to drop off your old light bulbs and paint rather than throwing them away!

Used Oil Recycling

Drop off your used oil containers at the Town Public Works yard (459 Boyne W) at any time of the year and receive a free replacement container of oil! (While supplies last). Please contact the Town of Morris Public Works at (204) 746-2532 for drop offs. Please visit the MARRC (Manitoba Association for Resource Recovery Corp.) website for more information on used oil recycling.

 

Compost Material

Compost site located at the entrance of the Rosenort Landfill 

  • Grass clippings and small branches only
  • Please empty bags onto pile
  • Please put empty bags into barrels
  • No other dumping allowed
