March 16th, 2023 – A Historic Day for the Community of Rosenort – The Sod Turning Celebration  for the largest residential subdivision to ever be created in the Community!  Reeve Scott Siemens, along with previous Reeves Ralph Groening and Herm Martens officially turned the sod to create the new Prairie Hearth Subdivision.  This new residential area will create approximately 230 new residential lots.  Phase 1 of the development will create approximately 60 lots that will be fully serviced and available to sale in 2023.  Phase 1 includes the creation of a new 74 spot daycare that the Province of Manitoba has graciously funded.

Former Reeve Herm Martens in his speech stated that when the Council decided in 2007/2008 to create the Rosenort Industrial Park, that Council should also start looking at an area for future residential.

Former Reeve Ralph Groening referred to the infrastructure that has been built, such as the partnership with the Province in raising PR 330 and lobbying the Province for replacement of the PR 422 bridge – both of these helped to provide flood access for Rosenort to a 2009 flood level.  Other infrastructure includes the expansion of the Rosenort Water Reservoir and the Rosenort Wastewater Lagoon.

Current Reeve Scott Siemens referred to the need to accommodate more residential lots to look after the future housing needs of both current and future residents of Rosenort.

Anyone wanting to purchase lots can contact Candice Baxx-Friesen or Steven Foubert at Royal LePage. Their phone number is 204-392-6406.
